FPT specialises in sports specific training, board sports training, breath hold and confidence training within the swimming pool, and the development of a competitive athlete.

Personal Training

   

FPT offers high-performance coaching for all abilities and ages.
You don’t have to be an athlete to have one on one sessions with Dr Farley.

Personal Sessions are dedicated to improve any aspect you seek help with. From shoulder rehabbing, ankle instability, performance goals to sports specific conditioning, FPT Personal Training is designed to work on your limitations, finding solutions for your needs and improve your health and well-being.

Initial full-body testing will determine your strengths and weaknesses with programming included in the costs.

 

12 Week Surf Development Programme

   

Make massive changes to your surfing skills and fitness through a High-Performance model applied for all levels of surfing ability and fitness. The programme is open to all level of surfers and consists of 5 different training modules:

  • Strength Training;
  • Functional Movement & Carver Skating;
  • Power/Gymnastic Training;
  • Breath Development/Fitness in the pool;
  • Mobility.

Training is done twice per week, which covers 2 different training modules (i.e. Mon – Strength, Wed – Skating), with sessions progressing each week over the 5 weeks, before changing to the next module (Power and Pool work). Mobility work is done every session throughout the course. At the beginning and the end of the programme there are surf correlated fitness tests implemented in the gym and in the pool to see your initial starting point and progression at the end. These results are used for the end of programme prize giving for those who have made the biggest adaptations.

Online Training

   

Online personal or group sessions tailored to your needs from the comfort of your home.

Online training sessions are suited for anyone who can’t make sessions in person and would like to train via online video call in their own space.

Sessions can be personal or with a small group of friends/family, and are specifically designed off your personal needs/goals. This can be anything from basic mobility, specific surf training or functional training.

Gym equipment not required.

11 Week Snow Development Programme

   

Make massive changes to your strength, power, balance, coordination and control through a High-Performance model applied for all levels of snowboarder/skiers.
The programme is open to all level of surfers and consists of 5 different training modules:

  • Strength Training;
  • Functional Movement & Coordination;
  • Power/Gymnastic Training;
  • Jumping/landings/rotations;
  • Mobility.

Training is done twice per week, which covers 2 different training modules (i.e. Mon – Strength, Wed – Gymnastics), with sessions progressing each week over the 4 weeks, before changing to the next module (Power and Landings). Mobility work is done every session throughout the course.
At the beginning and the end of the programme there are snow correlated fitness tests implemented in the gym to see your initial starting point and progression at the end. These results are used for the end of programme prize giving for those who have made the biggest adaptations.

Breath Development

   

Learn how to hold your breath for longer, become more confident with wave hold-downs, develop fitness and develop mental mindset to become more comfortable in the uncomfortable.

Breath development training is suited for all levels of surfers/water sports and other sports wanting to learn how to push themselves outside of the comfort zone to make adaptations to become less prone to panic, more confident in the water and breath effectively.

Carver Skating

   

Develop your rail game, bottom and top turns and work on skills on the Carver Skateboards that transfer over to better, more dynamic and fluid surfing.
Sessions are designed to help all levels of surfers with video analysis break down of the skating session to help identify technical limitations and ways to improve performance on the board that will help in the surf.

Teen Board-Riders

   

Training for all young surfers, skaters, snowboarders, skiers, wakeboarders etc. These sessions are designed to improve any limitations in a fun, group training environment.
The FPT Teen Board-Riders training programme is based upon development of fundamental movement patters, strength, power, mobility, breath holds/wave hold down confidence, Carver skate skill acquisition work and gymnastics.
The sessions are also dedicated to work on individual needs within their sports, rather then a blanket programme for everyone, under the guidance of a high performance strength and conditioning coach.
